I first came to Japan as an exchange student, then on working holiday and finally I am here on a work visa. Being rejected to apartments because of not being Japanese, looking for jobs that do not require 60-hours of overtime.. it's been a journey and I hope my experiences can help others!
Everything else - from thoughts on living in Japan to daily struggles of work-life balance, relationships to a week-in-life types of posts.

From sakura-lined walks and ocean-view parfaits to sacred trees and nostalgic puddings, this was a slow winter day that reminded me why I love traveling in Japan so much.

Family in Japan - a 10 day itinerary (Part 3.) Kyoto, Nara, Shibuya, Tokyo Tower
Day 7: A Trip to Kyoto - Exploring Arashiyama On Thursday morning, we boarded the Shinkansen and set off for Kyoto. To our delight, we were offered a special accessible space for the wheelchair, which made the journey even more comfortable. Though it has become quite touristy in recent years,
