January - Resolutions, Pancakes, and Sakura (yes, in January) I can’t believe the first quarter of the year is already almost over. By now, most people have probably given up on their New Year’s resolutions… and yes, I’m definitely included in that group haha. I started the year with good intentions though. My main goals were simple: find more time outside of work to be creative, write more, take more photos (and actually post them), and take better care of what I eat. So… ho


Chasing Japan’s Earliest-Blooming Sakura in Atami
A spontaneous Monday escape led me to Atami, where Japan’s earliest cherry blossoms bloom along a quiet river, the sea stretches endlessly below, and every stop seemed to involve something sweet. From sakura-lined walks and ocean-view parfaits to sacred trees and nostalgic puddings, this was a slow winter day that reminded me why I love traveling in Japan so much.


Matcha Tiramisu at the “Big Mountain” Diary entry #9
Come wander with me to the Ōyama Afuri Shrine on the side of Mt. Ōyama — not just for the beautiful views, but also for matcha tiramisu enjoyed with the clouds hanging gently above us. Let’s slow down for a moment, take a deep breath, and feel the crisp mountain air that makes everything else fade away.
